Greg McKay is the founder and pitmaster of Back Forty Barbeque in Athabasca, Alberta. A self-taught chef specializing in authentic low-and-slow smoked meats, he has earned a rare and prestigious recommendation from Franklin Barbecue in Texas, the gold standard of American barbecue, while building a reputation for exceptional catering at events large and small throughout the region.

Co-Founder & Operations
Michelle McKay is the co-founder and backbone of Back Forty Barbeque in Athabasca, Alberta. With a sharp eye for detail and warm hospitality, she works alongside her husband Greg to handle event planning, menu development, client communications, and flawless execution of large-scale gatherings. Her dedication to quality and guest experience helps make every Back Forty event memorable and perfectly delivered.
